Department of MECH

The Department of Mechanical Engineering began its functioning in the academic year 2003-04 with an intake of 60 students for B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering. After securing NBA accreditation for the B. Tech course in 2009, the intake for B. Tech was enhanced to 120 in the academic year 2010-11. The intake was further enhanced to 180 in the academic year 2013-14.

• M. Tech (Machine Design) as a post graduate programme in Mechanical Engineering was introduced in 2010-11 with a sanctioned intake of 18.
• M. Tech (Thermal Engineering) as a post graduate programme in mechanical Engineering was introduced in 2014-15 with a sanctioned intake of 18.
