Is an open degree equal to a regular degree?
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has clarified in a notification that open degrees are equal to regular degrees.
- The notification described that the degrees or diplomas or certificates awarded for programs conducted by the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institutions, acknowledged by UGC, are to be regarded as corresponding to regular institution's degrees.
