Scholarships

Many young men and women in India are not able to take up higher education for paucity of funds. We at Aurora support higher education in every way and most importantly in providing necessary financial support to the students who are intellectually deserving coming from economically poor background. Aurora is taking the lead in the noble and most important cause of supporting the students who are meritorious and require financial and emotional support. The Aid & Financial Support Programme will be open to 5 students of each year of every course offered in the college. The selection again is on a combination of merit and various other parameters. Such grants can range from Rs.2,000/- to Rs.20,000/-. To avail such aid the student is required to get reference letters from any two responsible individuals of the society approving of their financial conditions.

Through Sponsorship Programme, the college invites generous individuals to extend support to deserving and needy students. Every year, we have been coming across a good number of such students who need support financially to facilitate the payment of the various fee and other requirements. Sponsorships ranging from Rs.2,000/- to Rs.20,000/- are called from the financially strong and socially sensitive individuals.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC can apply for scholarship as per the government directives. Such candidates have to apply in the prescribed application form which will be duly forwarded by the office to the authorities concerned for necessary sanction.

All the SC, ST, and BC students can apply for scholarships, subject to the Fulfillment of annual income criteria.

The documents to be enclosed with the application are:

  • Caste & Latest Income certificates issued by MRO officer
  • Photocopies of SSC, Intermediate marks memo
  • Photo Copy of Transfer certificate
  • Photocopy of parent's Electoral Card/Ration card The following are the rules and regulations pertaining to scholarships:
  • Candidates seeking fee exemption have to submit their application form within the stipulated time; otherwise they will not be eligible for exemption.
  • Students with less than 75% attendance are not eligible for maintenance allowance.
  • Students applying for scholarships have to open a Saving Bank account in any nationalized bank before submitting the application form.
  • The renewal of scholarships will be recommended to the concerned authorities only if the candidate gets 75% attendance and promoted to next class/semester.

Note: On scrutiny, if any students are found producing wrong evidence or information he / she will be rusticated from the college.
